Bread Pakora is one of my favorite tea time snacks. It is best during rainy season or winter season. There are two type of bread pakora one plain pakora and other is stuffed pakora. Today I will show you the recipe of plain bread pakora.

Slices of bread (white or brown bread) - 6
Gram Flour (Besan)  - 1 Cup
Cumin Seeds (Jeera)  - 1 Tsp
Red Chili Powder - 1 Tsp
Salt - As per taste
Garam  Masala - 1 Tsp
Pinch of Asafoetida
Chopped Coriander leaf - 1/4 Cup
Water - 1/2 Cup
Oil to deep fry

In a bowl mix gram flour, cumin seeds, red chili powder, salt, garam masala, asafoetida. Add water to make a batter of it . Mix well so that there shouldn't be any lump left. Batter should not be very thin nor it should be very thick. Now add coriander leaf and keep aside.

Take the bread slices and cut the crust from all the sides. Cut the bread in two equal parts. You can cut it in a rectangle or traingle shape whatever you like. Here I have cut it in rectangle shape.

Heat a oil in pan for deep frying the bread pakoras. Keep the heat on low flame. When the oil is hot  dip the bread slices in the batter and slowly slide into the oil pan. Make sure not to keep the bread slice for a long time in the batter as it will become very soft and break. Fry the pakoras till golden brown.

When done, drain it on a absorbent paper or tissue paper to remove to excess oil. Serve it hot with green chutney, tamarind chutney or tomato sauce.

I hope you liked this recipe. And if you have any suggestion or doubt please drop a message in the comment below.
