Besan poli or besan omelette is a very popular dish of Maharashtra. You can have it as a breakfast, snacks or sidedish. Today I will show you a very quick and easy method to make this omelette. There is one more method with more ingredients which is also known as Tomato Omelette that I will show you in my next post.

Ingredients:

Gram Flour (Chickpeas Flour / Besan) - 1 Cup
Chopped Green Chili - 2 (If you want less spicy you can reduce the quantity)
A Pinch of Turmeric Powder
Salt - As per taste
Cumin Seed - 1 Tsp
Coriander leaf  - 1/4 cup
Water as required

Mix gram flour, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, salt, green chili and coriander leaf in the bowl. Add water to this mixture and make a batter of it. The consistency of batter should be like dosa batter.

Heat a pan and add 1 tsp of oil to it. Pour the batter in the pan and spread it evenly over the base of the pan. Fry on both the sides. And serve hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
