Vanilla Custard Ice Cream

Ice Cream is my mom's favorite. She just loves it. Well, who doesn't love Ice creams? Almost everyone loves it.

I got this recipe from Chitra's Food Book, one of my favorite blog. She has variety of tasty recipes on her blog, do check it.

How To Make Vanilla Custard Ice Cream?

Vanilla Custard Ice Cream


Milk - 500 ml
Custard Powder - 2 Tbsp
Sugar - 5 Tbsp
Fresh Cream - 4 Tbsp
Vanilla Extract - 1/2 Tsp


Melt Custard Powder In Milk

Keep aside 4 tbsp of milk from 500 ml of milk. Add custard powder in 4 tbsp of milk and mix well. There should not be any lumps.
Boil Milk
Add Sugar And Custard Powder Mixture
Boiled Custard And Milk Mixture

Now boil remaining milk and sugar in a pan. When milk is slightly hot add custard powder mixture and boil till you get dosa batter consistency. Switch of  the stove and let it cool down completely.
Add Fresh Cream
Blend Milk And Custard Mixture with Fresh Cream

Now add fresh cream and blend it with hand mixer or in a blender.
Transfer It To A Air Tight Bowl

Transfer it in a air tight bowl and freeze it for 2 hours.
Remove From Freeze
Transfer It To A Bowl
Blend It Again
Now remove it in a bowl and blend it again with a hand mixer or you can even use mixer blender. Transfer it back to air tight bowl and freeze for 2 hours.

Do this method for at least 5 times. And then finally freeze it for 6 to 7 hours or overnight.

Vanilla Custard Ice Cream is ready to serve.
