Prawn Pulao
Yesterday was extremely exhausting day for me and I wasn't in a mood to cook. Regardless of how you're feeling right now about cooking this cannot hold us apart from cooking. Food cravings is usually a powerful necessity. So I decided to cook Prawn Pulao for dinner.

It isn't just delightful but carries an aromatic fragrance of spices. Prawns provide an incredible taste to the rice at the same time.

Even kids love this mouth watering dish. It’s great to cook on weekend, day off or if you aren’t in a frame of mind to cook any challenging or the typical meal.

So lets begin.

Ingredient for prawn pulao

Prawns - 1 Bowl
Onion - 2 Large
Tomato - 2
Bay Leaf  - 1 Leaf

Cinnamon - 1 Stick
Black Pepper - 4 to 5
Cloves - 4 to 5
Mace - 1 Pcs
Black Stone Flower - 1/2 tsp
Chili Powder - 1 Tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp
Water - 3 Cup
Salt As Per Taste
Ghee or Oil - 1 Tbsp

First shell and devein the prawns. Then heat a pan and add oil or ghee in it and put all the spices (Bay Leaf, Black Cardamom, Cinnamon, Black Pepper, Cloves, Mace, Black Stone Flower) in the pan. Let it cook for 1 to 2 min.

Now add chopped onion and cook till it is soft.  Then add tomatoes and cover the pan and cook till it is soft or till 3 to 4 min.

Once the tomatoes are soft add chili powder, turmeric powder and mix well. Now add prawns and cover the pan and cook for 2 min.

Add washed rice and water to the pan. Don't forget to add salt. Cover the pan and cook till all water is soaked or till rice is cooked. If in case the water is soaked and rice is still not cooked, add some more water and cook till rice is cooked.
