Kurmura Ladoo or Puffed Rice Ladoo is tasty, crunchy and easy to make. It is made with kurmura (also known as murmura / lai or puffed rice) and jaggery. You can make this dish in just 15 mins. It's a healthy and low calorie dish.
It's a perfect treat for kids. I made this for my niece, who has come to our place for vacation. She loves this ladoo.
You can have this as a tea time snacks or can munch it whenever you feeling like having something sweet. You can store it for a long time in a air tight container.
Do try it; your kids will love it.
Ingredients
Kurmura (Puffed Rice) - 4 Cup
Jaggery - 250 Gms
Instruction
First roast kurmura in a deep pan for 1 min. You don't need to change the color of kurmura. Transfer it in a bowl and keep aside.
Now heat the same pan and add jaggery to it. Cook till the jaggery is melted and forms one thread string.
Add roasted kurmura in the pan and mix it well. Jaggery should get well coated to kurmura. Now switch off the stove.
Let it cool for 2 min or till you can bear the heat. Now wet your hand and start making the ball shape ladoo.
Let it set for sometime before consuming.
Your Kurmura Ladoo is ready.
Note:
1. We need to roast kurmura to remove any moist from it.
2. You won't be able to form ball shape ladoo if it completely cools down. So you will have to make ladoos when it is still hot.
I came across your blog while looking for some ladoo recipes and liked a lot. How amazing! I will keep an eye on your post.
