Goli Baje

Goli Baje is a very popular street food from Mangalore. You can also get this dish in almost every restaurant in Udupi. It is a fried dish and you can have this as a breakfast or tea time snacks. It is crispy from outside and soft and fluffy from inside. It is very tasty and can be served with chutney or ketchup.

It is made with all purpose flour, gram flour, curd, green chili, ginger and salt. It needs to be fermented for atleast 2 to 3 hours and then deep fried in oil. Soaking or grinding is not requried for this dish. It is very easy to make. I got this recipe from my mom.

Gram Flour - 250 Gms
Curd - 200 Gms
Green Chili - 6 Nos

After 2 to 3 hours it will rise a bit. Now heat a pan and add oil for deep frying. Once the oil is hot, drop a spoon full of paste in it (or you can drop the paste using your fingers).
